Growing

OK so this isn't anything to do with the original blog, but this is now turning into my "VegBlog".

Lily and I got our free "Dig In" seeds from the BBC today and so did some celebratory planting:
Carrots in a green trug
Lettuce and Beetroot in a red trug (I ran out of trugs)
Butternut Squash in a biscuit tin, seeing as it needs to grow indoors for a while.

Our patio is now a rainbow of trugs, seeing as we have pansies in a pink one and now penstemmons in an orange one.

So far, the green and red trugs are looking quite sad as they look like they are just full of soil. Lily does keep asking "Have they grown yet?"; patience not being a virtue of 3 year olds.

We have also made labels, though, so it doesn't look like we're crazy soil lovers.

I shall keep posting whenever there are developments! Here's to a potential lovely veg crop!
